Modern Western history in three statements

Modern Western history in three stages:

1) Feudalism: love your family, hate its enemies. Make war against whoever in the day; at night, celebrate love, what an idea.

2) Colonialism: love these less disciplined strangers so you can profit from or kill them. Worry they may hate you and fight back. Since you need their labor, build schools and prisons, and use religion and doctors, to keep them in line.

3) Protestantism: love the state, hate your family. Treat your kids like colonial subjects or prisoners. Fuck with them so they will rebel in a way that helps them become sociopathic billionaires. Who can be worshipped, in a world without love for persons, but only power and money. They will give a big fuck you. Return to (1).
